Deschutes River Ranch is a small unincorporated community just north of Tumalo surrounded by small farms and BLM land. Homesites range from 1 to 20 acres and many have views to the river and cascade mountains to the West. Trails for hiking and equestrian use run through the ranch and connect to public lands. The ranch has an outdoor arena, a covered arena, and equestrian barn designs. Many acres of the ranch are protected by conservation easements. Homeowners have access to 32,000 acres of public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management to the North.
